Mill Valley Junior Golf Club
The Northern California Golf Association (NCGA) Foundation's Youth On Course (YOC) offers children across Northern California (ages 5 -17) the opportunity to play golf at over 70 courses in Northern California at a rate of between $2 - $5. This is due to the generous anonymous donation from a San Francisco Bay Area resident.
The Mill Valley Junior Golf Club (YOC) began with the vision to encourage young golfers to learn the game at our beautiful local golf course. Our team of volunteers provide a safe and friendly approach for kids to grow their golf game. The introductory golf education and etiquette class helps ensure that junior golfers begin to learn the basic safety and value guidelines that are necessary in playing the game. Once they attend the class, each junior is given a membership card that allows them to play 9 holes for $2 (providing they are "course ready"). We offer free clinics to Junior Club members to help develop theirs skills and additional junior discount golf coaching is available as well through the summer months. Each year there are several tournaments, including an adult - junior event during the Summer and Fall seasons. The Mill Valley Junior Golf Club Tournaments are sponsored by the generosity of the Mill Valley Golf Club. Their members are happy to volunteer their time to give the junior golfers a great tournament experience.
The annual membership fee is just $25 for the Mill Valley Junior Golf Club and can start or continue the junior golfers lifelong appreciation for learning and enjoyment of golf.
